World Blood Donor Day

A seminar was held at Minhaj University Lahore in collaboration with the School of Medical Lab & Technology and Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital to commemorate World Blood Donor Day. Dr. Hassan Rashid from the Department of Oncology, Dr. Muhammad Akram Tanveer, and Professor Dr. Javaid Iqbal from the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences at Minhaj University, along with Dr. Huma Butt, Head of the School of Medical Lab & Technology, delivered speeches. Secretary Seekers Club, Ammara Qadri, also delivered a speech. Dr. Hassan Rashid highlighted how blood donations annually provide new lives, which is especially crucial for cancer patients and complex surgeries. He expressed gratitude to the Minhaj University administration for organizing blood donation camps. Prof. Dr. Javaid Iqbal stressed the importance of raising awareness about blood donations to save lives. The ceremony concluded with the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences honoring Dr. Hassan Rashid with a shield. A "Blood Camp" was also set up in Jafar as-Sadiq Block, jointly organized by Minhaj University Lahore, Pakistan Red Crescent, and Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, where many faculty members and students donated blood.
